Mike Culp - First Ward

Although he has been active in the Springfield community for many years, Mike is running for his first term as commissioner. With the support of voters, Mike will work to keep taxes low and control the cost of government, while also working to ensure we are making the proper investment in the township's parks and sport fields. He also vows to be open and accessible to all voters.
Mike is a current member of the Springfield Township Zoning Board, treasurer of the St. Francis of Assisi CYO Board, and director of the Springfield Fund for the Elderly, a program that provides assistance to seniors for property taxes.
He is also a volunteer coach for the Springfield Athletic Association, a former member of the Springfield Township Park and Recreation Board and a former board member of the Delaware County Housing Authority.
Mike attended Widener University, majoring in Criminal Justice and Sociology. He continued his education at the Widener University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 2002.
Mike and his wife Nicole have three children.
Lee Janiczek - Third Ward

Lee has served local residents with honor and distinction on the Board of Commissioners. His expertise and integrity have earned him widespread respect, and his peers chose him to serve as President of the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Commissioners, as well as the Delaware County Association of Township Commissioners. Lee has also served as former chairperson for the American Heart Association.
Lee has been active in other ways as well, serving as a former coach in the Springfield Athletic Association, and former President of the Southwest Springfield Civic Association.
Lee earned his Doctor of Education from Immaculata University, and his Master of Arts in Education from Villanova University. He earned his bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania Military College (then known as Widener University).
Jeff Rudolph - Fifth Ward

Jeff has resided in Springfield for 28 years and is currently serving his first term representing the residents of the Fifth Ward on the Springfield Board of Commissioners, where he currently holds the position of Vice President.
Jeff has been active in all facets of the local community, serving as a past member of the Board of Directors of the Springfield Youth Club. He is also president and organizing founder of the ET Richardson Middle School Boys Lacrosse Program. Jeff also works to recognize the volunteers who help make Springfield a great place to live and raise a family, serving on the Board of Directors of the Springfield Volunteer Memorial Wall Fund, Inc.
Jeff also serves on the • Delaware County Open Space Recreation and Greenway Plan Advisory Committee, and as Vice Chairman of the Organizing and Operational Committee for the Springfield Run for Heroes. The annual
5K Run benefits the Hero Scholarship Fund, which provides educational assistance to the children of fallen police officers and firefighters. The run raised approximately $25,000.00 this year for the scholarships.
Jeff has been married for 31 years and has four children.
Bob Layden - Sixth Ward
As the 6th Ward Commissioner, Bob has fought for residents on issues such as taxes, traffic, crime, billboards, and the changing nature of our neighboring communities. After Bob was sworn in during August 2010, he worked tirelessly to introduce himself to the residents of the 6th Ward, talk with them about their concerns and their hopes for the future of Springfield Township.
Bob has been a resident of Springfield for many years. He and his wife chose to raise their family here because of the strong sense of community in our Township. It is a great place to live and raise a family and Bob will work to keep it that way.
He has been actively involved in our youth sports programs in the township for more than a decade and served as president of the Springfield Youth Club for roughly seven years.
Bob is also a small business owner and member of the Greater Springfield Business Association. He knows how to balance a budget and understands that we cannot tax our seniors or other residents out of their homes.
Dan Lanciano - Seventh Ward
Dan brings experience, dedication, and a strong work ethic to the Springfield Board of Commissioners. He has been a resident of Springfield Township since 1958 and is currently completing his first term representing the 7th Ward.
Dan has deep roots in the local community, previously serving as President of the Springfield Park & Recreation Board, Athletic Director of St. Kevin’s CYO, and a member of the St. Kevin’s Home & School Board. He has also coached CYO football, softball, and basketball
Dan is currently the Director of the Springfield High School Lacrosse Booster Club and • Assistant Director of Football Operations at Springfield High School. He is also a member of the Joint Comprehensive Plan Task Force for Land Use Development
Dan has been married for 28 years and has three children. A graduate of Widener University, Dan currently works as the General Manager for County Administrative Services.
